Introduction

Monthly Dignity is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating period poverty in Montreal. Their mission is to provide free menstrual products, offer menstrual health education, and advocate for menstrual equity. Monthly Dignity approached us to revamp their website to better reflect their vibrant personality and provide crucial information for their diverse target demographic.

Capturing Brightness and Vitality

The existing website for Monthly Dignity lacked clarity and was out of date from the new branding rebranding they had just underwent, which inadvertently hindered their outreach efforts. Our challenge was to design a site that encapsulates the organization's dynamic spirit while making essential information easily accessible. Critically, the new website needed to resonate with potential donors and partners, ensuring a seamless navigation experience that highlights the impact of their contributions.

We introduced a vibrant color palette with warm hues to evoke a sense of community and support, reflecting the passion behind Monthly Dignity’s mission. Clean, modern typography and ample white space were used to enhance readability and highlight key messages and calls to action.

Streamlined Information Architecture

Understanding the importance of accessibility, we restructured the website's information architecture to make navigation intuitive. We developed clear, concise sections that address the needs of their diverse audience, including:

  • For Individuals: Information on how to access free menstrual products and educational resources.
  • For Donors: Highlighting the impact of donations, with straightforward pathways to contribute.
  • For Partners: Showcasing partnership opportunities and success stories to encourage collaboration.

Empowering Through Education

We designed dedicated sections for menstrual health education, incorporating interactive elements such as FAQs, downloadable guides, and video content. These resources empower users with knowledge, fostering a more informed community.

Donor and Partner Engagement

To sustain support, we integrated features to engage donors and partners:

  • Impact Metrics: Visual representations of the organization’s achievements.
  • Easy Donation Process: A simplified, user-friendly donation interface.
  • Partnership Highlights: Showcasing successful collaborations.

Technical Recommendations

To ensure the Monthly Dignity team can manage and update the website without dedicated technical support, we recommended a tech stack that includes:

  • WordPress: For its user-friendly content management system.
  • TranslatePress: To handle multilingual content easily.
  • Elementor: For drag-and-drop page building, allowing the team to make updates effortlessly.
I was so impressed by their ability to turn our half-baked ideas for our website into a clear vision of the aesthetic, functionality, and goals of each page. Working with Pragmatics Studio has fundamentally changed how we think about our online presence.

Conclusion

The revamped website for Monthly Dignity now truly reflects the organization's bright personality and critical mission. It makes essential information accessible, engages and inspires donors and partners, and empowers the team to manage content independently. We are proud to support Monthly Dignity in their mission to achieve menstrual equity in Montreal and beyond.
